John Perry Barlow called yesterday afternoon: he was in Denver & heard from a friend that Crimson was in town, so came as my guest. He felt the group was the only one in its field (my words) and that, if we wished to accept the nonsense which accompanies it (also my words), we could appeal to a large audience.
Bill Janssen was in the audience for a second night, this time with his wife Carolyn. Bill felt the first night was the better as a group performance. An eruption of strong views in the bandwagon en route to yesterday's soundcheck over the release of "Heavy ConstruKction": it is better placed as a Club release than a formal shop offering, which invites a different level of expectations.
